Framing the Wild

Vlastimil VajnorákFine Art Wildlife Photographer

Based in Nairobi and working across the continent, Vlastimil has spent years chasing the decisive moments that most photographers never see — the instant before the strike, the quiet after the kill, the look that passes between predator and prey. His work is rooted in patience: days in the field for a single frame.

Originally from Prague, Czech Republic, he came to Africa and has not left since. Nairobi is the base; the Mara, Serengeti, Okavango, and Luangwa are the studio.

Every print in this collection is the result of a singular encounter — not a composite, not a heavily processed interpretation, but a moment that existed exactly as rendered. Light as found. Behaviour as observed.
